Rule No. 17
Shock their sensibilities, and your tastebuds.
If we had to apply a rule to Jack Daniel’s newest creation, Tennessee Fire, it would undoubtedly have to be Rule No. 17. The newest member of the family takes Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 whiskey and naturally infuses it with red hot cinnamon liqueur for a flavor that truly shocks the tastebuds. We were lucky enough to get our hands on the new cinnamon flavored whiskey for a test run and the folks at Jack Daniel’s did not disappoint.
The light amber color invites you in to a nose filled with sweet cinnamon sugar and doesn’t have the typical burning sensation at the back of your throat. One sip takes you into a world of a fiery sweetness paired with a hot cinnamon kick that only compliments the smooth and delicious taste of Old No. 7. The 70 proof Tennessee Fire will leave your palate with a unique finish and the unmistakable character will have your tastebud’s dancing.
The Jack Daniel Distillery announced that they will be test driving the new red hot spirit beginning in April. But unfortunately for most, Jack Fire will only be available in Oregon, Pennsylvania, and the distillery’s home state of Tennessee while they test the waters.
John Hayes, Senior Vice President, Managing Director for Jack Daniel’s, says, “We’re always listening to our friends and look forward to this test launch to let them try it, make sure it meets their expectations and then we’ll go from there. But we think they’re really going to like it.
Well John, we must say you are right— we enjoyed this cinnamon flavored whiskey and believe it will bring a different, unique twist to what is already out there on the market. With Tennessee Fire, Jack Daniel’s has created a whiskey that gives you a real cinnamon kick, but doesn’t over power the experience. We think the flavor is just perfect and pairs tremendously with Old No. 7.
The company isn’t giving an official timeframe for how long the limited market will last, but let’s hope it will be out of the test market before too long. You can stay up to date by following @JackFire on Twitter.
From us and our friends at Jack Daniel’s, please practice fire safety and drink responsibly. Until next time, cheers!
